On March 16, 2025, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Nanjing Medical University Second Affiliated Hospital successfully held its inaugural R-SUV single-port robotic surgery hands-on training class. This milestone event gathered over 30 leading gynecologic surgeons from across China to explore cutting-edge techniques and clinical applications of single-port robotic surgery.
The opening ceremony featured inspiring speeches from Jiangsu Maternal and Child Health Research Association President Hong Hao, Nanjing Medical University Vice President and Hospital Party Secretary Gu Min, Hospital Vice President Zhu Qingyi, and Professor Xiao-Ming Guan from Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital.
Expert faculty, including both domestic and international authorities, shared their insights on surgical techniques, clinical indications, and complication management. Live surgical demonstrations via video link showcased the precision and minimally invasive advantages of the R-SUV platform.
This training marks a significant step in advancing gynecologic robotic surgery, promoting innovation, and improving patient care quality nationwide.
The Single-port Endoscopic Surgical System (SR-ENS-600), developed and produced by Beijing Surgerii Robotics Company Limited, has been approved by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in China for urology and gynecology laparoscopic surgeries. Surgeons who wish to learn the surgical operations of the SHURUI robot should contact Beijing Surgerii Robotics Co., Ltd. to participate in the official training program. Patients who want to participate in the registered clinical trials of the SHURUI robot should contact the official cooperative hospitals of Surgerii and consult with surgeons to determine their suitability for surgery with the SHURUI robot.
