On February 20, the OB-GYN team at International Peace Maternity & Child Health Hospital successfully performed its first domestic single-port robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery using teh SHURUI® single-port surgical robot —a minimally invasive ovarian teratoma resection in a young female patient. Led by hospital president Prof. Yudong Wang, the procedure marked a new era of scar-free, precision gynecologic surgery.
Through a single 3 cm umbilical incision, the surgical team utilized SHURUI®’s flexible, snake-like instruments and 3D imaging to precisely remove the tumor while preserving ovarian function. The patient was walking within 6 hours and discharged in less than 24.

Patients who want to participate in the registered clinical trials of the SHURUI robot should contact the official cooperative hospitals of Surgerii and consult with surgeons to determine their suitability for surgery with the SHURUI robot.
