On February 20, the OB-GYN team at International Peace Maternity & Child Health Hospital successfully performed its first domestic single-port robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery using teh SHURUI^® single-port surgical robot —a minimally invasive ovarian teratoma resection in a young female patient. Led by hospital president Prof. Yudong Wang, the procedure marked a new era of scar-free, precision gynecologic surgery.

Through a single 3 cm umbilical incision, the surgical team utilized SHURUI^®’s flexible, snake-like instruments and 3D imaging to precisely remove the tumor while preserving ovarian function. The patient was walking within 6 hours and discharged in less than 24.
