In the history of modern medicine, every leap forward in surgical techniques has been driven by the ultimate goal of achieving "less trauma, faster recovery, and higher precision." From traditional open surgery, to the era of laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery, and now to robot-assisted surgery, every technological advancement is profoundly reshaping the boundaries of medical care.
Recently, the operating rooms of Xinglonghu Branch welcomed a special new "colleague." It doesn't wear a white coat, yet possesses the expertise of a top specialist. It never speaks a word, yet serves as the surgeon’s most intuitive partner under the operating lights. When faced with complex and challenging lesions, it avoids major incisions, effortlessly performing delicate operations through just a single "small hole."
This highly anticipated new member of the department is none other than the powerful, gentle, precise, and versatile Shurui Single-Port Surgical Robot. Its official launch marks a new chapter of intelligent and precise minimally invasive surgery for our hospital.
Breaking Convention: A "Versatile Expert" Across Seven Disciplines
In the field of surgery, the question of how to completely remove lesions while maximizing the preservation of normal patient tissue has always been a persistent pursuit for clinicians. The introduction of the Shurui® Single-Port Surgical Robot aims to break through the limitations of traditional surgery.
This new “colleague” is far from ordinary. As China’s first and currently the only single-port surgical robot widely applicable across seven core disciplines, including urology, gynecology, general surgery, thoracic surgery, pediatric surgery, breast and thyroid surgery, as well as head and neck surgery, it delivers remarkable versatility for multi-specialty use. In the past, complex procedures in different departments often relied on different instrument configurations and multiple ports. The Shurui robot unifies the minimally invasive needs of multiple disciplines under the "single-port" approach.
Biomimetic Technology: Precise Collaboration of Three Core "Organs"
The Shurui® Surgical Robot's ability to perform complex maneuvers within narrow anatomical spaces is due to its highly integrated three core components. This system acts like a "superhero" with a powerful brain, dexterous hands, and a penetrating vision system, achieving perfect human-machine synergy with the surgeon on the operating table.
1. The Console – The Command Hub for Precise Surgical Planning
This is the "brain" of the entire robot. The surgeon controls it remotely, translating every subtle finger movement into precise surgical commands. The console features a high-definition, glasses-free 3D vision system, providing an immersive three-dimensional surgical view that eliminates traditional surgical blind spots.
2. Bedside Robotic Arm Syste – Internationally Pioneered "Intelligent Manipulation Terminal"
Shurui® is equipped with the world's first snake-like instruments technology. Like a flexible snake, the snake-like instruments can smoothly navigate through a single port deep into extremely narrow and complex anatomical regions within the body. Built-in intelligent anti-shake algorithms filtering technology instantly eliminates the surgeon's natural physiological tremors, pushing beyond the limits of human physiological capability.
3. The High-Definition 3D Vision System – The "Penetrating Eye" for Insightful Observation
The high-resolution 3D endoscope provides wide-angle, high-clarity real-time imaging within confined body cavities. Seamlessly integrated with the console, it gives the surgeon a clear view of the lesion's location and surrounding anatomical structures, allowing for effortless precision.
Core Strengths: Four Advantages Redefining Surgical Standards
1. Extreme Precision Control: The robotic arm's superior flexibility and anti-shake algorithms filtration ensure that cutting, dissecting, and suturing are exceptionally accurate, minimizing surgical risks.
2. Revolutionary Minimally Invasive Experience: All surgical instruments are inserted through a single small incision (typically only about 2.5 cm). This significantly reduces penetrating injury to the abdominal wall muscles and normal tissue.
3. Confidence Rooted in Domestically Independent Research and Development: This system breaks foreign technological monopolies, achieves independence in key technologies, and features a design better tailored to the clinical operating habits of Chinese surgeons.
4. Rock-Solid Safety Protection: A multi-layered intelligent safety mechanism is embedded at the core, monitoring and avoiding potential risks in real-time for enhanced security.
Comprehensively Reshaping the Patient Experience
The ultimate goal of medical technology innovation is always patient benefit. The clinical application of the Shurui® Surgical Robot delivers tangible improvements to the patient experience:
Less Trauma, Better Cosmesis: A single small incision of about 2.5 cm results in an almost "scarless" postoperative appearance, alleviating cosmetic concerns.
Faster Recovery, Shorter Hospital Stay: Less damage to normal tissue leads to a lower complication rate and significantly reduced hospital stay.
Less Pain, More Reliable Outcomes:Postoperative pain is significantly reduced. Surgeons can more thoroughly clear lesions, improving surgical success rates and recovery prognosis.
Empowering Minimally Invasive healthcare with Technology, Safeguarding Health with Precision.
The warmth of medicine never lies in how sophisticated and advanced the instruments themselves are. Instead, it resides in the compassionate heart of physicians who operate these devices, a heart that always beats for patients and delivers thoughtful care.
"Everything for the patient, everything centered on the patient"—this is far more than a slogan; it is the unwavering original aspiration of all medical staff at Xinglonghu Branch, and a promise we uphold in every consultation and every operation.
The introduction of the Shurui® single-port surgical robot signifies more than an equipment upgrade; it represents a leap forward in the capacity of medical services at our hospital. Moving forward, the Xinglonghu Campus will continue to leverage cutting-edge medical technology to scale new heights in medicine. More patients will regain health and a new lease on life through precise, minimally invasive intelligent diagnosis and treatment.
Important Notes
The SHURUI Single-port Endoscopic Surgical System (SR-ENS-600), developed and produced by Beijing Surgerii Robotics Company Limited, has obtained the CE marking for urologic laparoscopic surgical procedures, gynecologic laparoscopic surgical procedures, general laparoscopic surgical procedures, and thoracoscopic surgical procedures.
