
On April 18-19, 2026, the 2026 China Urological Robotics Conference & Innovation Summit on Diagnosis and Treatment of Urological Diseases was held in Shanghai. On April 18, during the conference's special presentation session, Professor Xu Kai, founder of Beijing Surgerii Robotics Co., Ltd., delivered a special academic report titled "An Introduction to the SHURUI Single-Port Robot," systematically sharing the original design, core technological breakthroughs, and global clinical application progress of the Single-port Surgical Robot with Snake-like Instruments, showcasing the breakthrough journey of this original Chinese single-port robot technology from clinical validation to global application. From multi-center clinical applications in China to market access in Europe, the Shurui® single-port robot is deeply participating, with original Chinese technology, in the most rigorous surgical robot industry competition in mature advanced markets, carving out broad prospects for the internationalization of original Chinese innovation.
Professor Xu Kai emphasized that the core innovations of the Shurui® single-port robot lie, first, in the single-port snake-like surgical instruments, and second, in the system's four-arm configuration that allows flexible reconfiguration into single-port, multi-port, and hybrid-port operating platforms, breaking through the structural limitations of traditional single-port equipment. This enables surgeons not only to achieve more flexible cannula channel arrangement, instrument configuration, and more stable multi-instrument coordination through a single incision, but also to further integrate multi-modal tools such as straight ultrasonic instruments for more flexible system functionality. During this conference, Shurui®'s single-port robot successfully completed live streams of four robotic single-port radical prostatectomies. This China Urological Robotics Conference sent a clear signal: the Shurui® single-port robot is transitioning from a "specialized technology" to a mature platform choice for complex urological procedures. The live stream of four radical prostatectomies collectively demonstrated the Shurui single-port robot's stable operating capability in the narrow pelvic space, quality of key step completion, and adaptability to complex procedures.
